KB5082142 – Registry Fix (Quick & Easy)


Option 1 – Easy Method (Recommended):
Download the registry fix file from our website, unzip and double-click it to apply.

Option 2 – Manual Steps:

  1. Click Start
  2. Type Registry Editor and open it
  3. Go to this location:
  4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services\Client
  5. Right-click → New → DWORD (32-bit) Value
  6. Name it:
  7. RedirectionWarningDialogVersion
  8. Double-click it and set the value to:1
  9. Click OK and close Registry Editor

What this does:
This will stop the Remote Desktop warning from appearing every time.

Note:
This is a temporary workaround and reduces some of Microsoft’s new security protections.
